Clean hotel in a lovely building not far from the resturant, the sea and a five star establishment. The king room with really comfortable bed and bathroom, as for instance. A lot of good food at breakfast time...
Wi-Fi was very spotty.

Found a spacious family room complete with comfortable beds, perfect for resting after a long day. The easy access to nearby attractions.
On the downside, the atmosphere felt stale, especially with some areas showing visible signs of wear such as stained carpets and outdated decor. The bathrooms had low water pressure, and opening the windows unleashed a questionable odor that detracted from the overall experience. Noise from the bar below made it difficult to sleep, particularly during late hours, and the heating was cranked too high for comfort, forcing me to open windows during the night.

The bar was ok and bed was comfortable.
Hotel is in a run down street and in many respects The Bear looks tatty and poorly maintained outside. Pa rking is in a general pay and display park and therefore unprotected, dispite web details stating "limited parking available". Staff could look smarter and be aware of all guests, not just the well known drinkers at the bar.

The bed was very comfortable.
The food was very poor. I ordered lemon sole, which was very small, -new potatoes which were reheated in the microwave,disgusting,-cabbage &carrots which were overcooked. My wife's meal was equally as bad. Both meals were badly cooked and the portions were very mean.

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, the dining room was very pleasant and the breakfast was excellent (we did not dine at the Bear). The receptionist and the breakfast waitress were both very pleasant and helpful.
The approach to the bedrooms is rather shabby and lets down an otherwise very pleasant hotel. A lift would be good too.

Good vibes and comfy beds!
The staff were super friendly, & my kids loved the spacious family room with a big comfy bed. Breakfast was a treat, lots of options! Only downside was the bathroom really needs a update. Still, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the free parking!
